The old train station active during the Ellis Island period.  Immigrants accepted into the US would come here to continue their travels to their final destinations.

Ellis Island below.  Millions of immigrants came through here.  Millions more of people from all over the world visit every year.

She's amazing Miss Liberty.

Trump leaving town after the UN address.  He sure botched up traffic while we were in Manhattan.

Below the ferry carrying passengers either from New Jersey or Manhattan.  These ferries were crammed full and arrived every half hour or more.

In 1892, this lady was getting ready to get off of the boat and enter onto Ellis Island, when a German immigrant crowded in front of her.  Someone stopped him and said "let the lady go first."  So Annie Moore from Cork, Ireland ended up being the very first person processed through Ellis Island in 1892.

Don't know who owns this yacht, but guaranteed he or she is very wealthy.

Below is called the Tear Drop Memorial given to US from Russia.  All of the 911 victim's names are listed on the bottom.  It's in Bayonne, New Jersey and very difficult to find.  It's a shame more people don't know about it.

2018 Sept 6 New York

Above, the first day bus trip into Manhattan.  All of the above are waiting to cross under the Lincoln Tunnel from New Jersey into the big city.   It was U.N. week, and it slowed traffic to a crawl.

The first Dunkin Donut that had changed it's name to just "Dunkin."

Above on the top 2 floors is Yoko Ono's flat.  John Lennon was killed just on the outside of this building.

In Central Park, we saw Strawberry Fields.  One of John Lennon's songs.

Central Park above and below.  Popular engagement and wedding spot.

Still in Central Park.  Not sure what this bride was waiting for.  No one else was around.  Hopefully she wasn't waiting on the husband to be.

New York is full of beautiful churches.  This is an Episcopal church on the North end of Manhattan. It is huge.

St. Patrick's Roman Catholic cathedral has to be the most beautiful church in the world.

Famous ice rink in front of Rockefeller Center. Below is the bull on Wall Street.  There were so many people around it, could not get a good picture. There's even a father trying to put his baby up on the horn.

Did not have time to shop in the M&M store, but looked like fun.
